After the Russian Civil War Lenin faced a few struggles. Most of the population was more against Bolshevism and his slogan of "Peace, Bread, and Land" was not getting the response he was hoping for. Also Lenin did not want any form of Parliament even if it was elected by the people he still was against it. However, it was mandatory to hold elections. When this vote had finished Lenin's group had barely received 1/4 of the votes from the people.
Afteer Lenins death in 1921 there was a power struggle between Stalin and Trotsky. This struggle revolved about “Guns or Butter” debate = Heavy Industry(Stalin idea) or Consumer goods. This struggle went on for 3 years, at the end Stalin came out victorious and went and expelled Trotsky from the Soviet Union.
