Franklin D. Roosevelt involved the U.S Government in multiple ways during the Great Depression. The main being the New Deal era. This helped lower the unemployment with the jobs available to create the Hoover Dam ect. Also Roosevelt created many Alphabet Agencies. One being the AAA (Agricultural Adjustment Act) which was to reduce agricultural production but overall lower the supply of crops that had created a surplus once lowered would increase the overall value of the crops. Another being the NRA (National Recovery Administration) which goal was to stabilize the prices of items and to improve the labour conditions for people. Franklin D. Roosevelt is seen amongst the top presidents the USA has had he cared and tried to help the people he represented. This is evident in the way he tried to involve the government during his rein and especially during his first 100 days.

The Cinderella Man movie shows the life Jim Braddock lived. From boxing to the his life at home and the struggles his family was having to stay alive.
This movie displays such a great example of the mental power people have. The ability to push yourself beyond the limits you thought were not even possible. Jim shows this when he struggles to get work to supply for his family, so he starts boxing again. But he is too old and too slow; however, when the threat of his children being sent away comes into play he becomes a whole new person. |
